and of eight contemporary artists.
In the words of the Ambassador Paul Casardi "Presenting as Ambassador of Italy to the friend Chilean people, here tonight in Santiago at the Cultural Institute in Providencia, the exhibition "MUSICA DI SMALTO" just arrived in Chile because of the celebrations of the bicentennialof the Independence of this Country, is an important task. This is a unique opportunity to get closer to the knowledge of an artistic expression, that is the pottery. The pottery summarizes several factors of the Italian civilization. "
This exhibition, produced by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the International Museum of the Ceramics in Faenza, the Cultural Institute in Providencia, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Santiago, opened a program of the celebrations of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Chile.
The exhibition "MUSICA DI SMALTO" that was originally composed by twenty-five ceramics masterworks has been enriched with eight major works of great contemporary masters such as Fontana, Baj, Alders, Baccarini, Bertozzi & Casoni, Melandri, Cerone.
At the same times, it is exposed the monograph entitled Secrets and Whispers of the emilian artist Mara Cammi Orsi, active in Santiago, specialized in ceramics.
At the Cultural Institute de Providencia there were two other important events: on November 4, a concert of Baroque music, performed by the Municipality de Providencia Orchestra, Maestro Denis Kolobov and on November 6, the Conference of the Director of the International Museumof Ceramics in Faenza Jadranka Bentini "The Museum of Faenza and the artistic ceramic: an ancient italian excellence".
From mid-April to mid June 2010 the exhibition will be at the Museo Evita in Cordoba, from July to August 2010 at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Buenos Aires and then from September to October 2010 at the museum Pedro de Osma in Lima.
